OLTL Cast New Role

Eva Marcille (Tyra, The Young and the Restless) is set to wed her longtime boyfriend, actor Lance Gross.

Congratulations are in order for The Young and the Restless actress Eva Marcille (Tyra)! Not only is the former Top Model winner a contract member of the Y&R cast, but she’s also getting married! Eva and longtime boyfriend Lance Gross, star of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, are now engaged. The two former co-stars were surrounded by their loved ones when Gross got down on one knee and asked Eva to become his wife. No date has been set, but rumors abound that the couple are looking for a summer 2010 ceremony. According to reports, Gross presented his fiancée with a 3 carat Cartier ring. The couple, both 24 have been together for several years now.

Eva Diva (hey!) has been making a name or herself around the industry and people are taking notice. Best known as the winner of the popular CW (then UPN) hit series America’s Next Top Model, Eva wowed the judges with her beauty, talent and determination and came out on top, beating out Yaya DaCosta (ex-Cassandra, All My Children) in cycle 3 finale. After much success in modeling, Eva parlayed that success into acting. After Top Model, Eva booked guest starring roles on television shows such as Smallville, Everybody Hates Chris, and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne as well as appearing in the film I Think I Love My Wife.

Since joining the Young and the Restless as Tyra Hamilton in June of 2008, Eva’s worked hard to win fans over with her portrayal as the aunt to Devon and to Ana, the children that her sister gave up. Eva’s gotta love going to work every day, who wouldn’t want to work with the sexy Kristoff St. John (Neil)? The writers seem to be positioning a romance for Neil and Tyra, which doesn’t bode well for Karen (played by Nia Peeples).
