Day of Days 2011: An Interview With Wally Kurth & Judi Evans

0

Wally Kurth (Justin, DAYS) and Judi Evans (Adrienne, DAYS) speak with Soap Opera Source at Days of our Lives fourth annual Day of Days fan event.

TVSource headed out to Los Angeles for Days of our Lives‘ fourth annual “Day of Days” fan event. The free (yes FREE) event was a chance for fans to mingle with some of their favorite stars, and gave the press a chance to have some face to face time with the cast.

Judi Evans (Adrienne) and Wally Kurth (Justin) seem to be game for anything. When asked what types of roles they would play if given the chance, Judi opted for Ebenezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol. Wally shared he would love to take on Tom Hanks’ role of Robert Langdon in the film The Da Vinci Code. “He’s so knowledgeable and solves crimes, but not as an officer. I am always fascinated by religion,” said the actor.

With Wally set to perform at the mid-point show during Day of Days, we asked what some of their guilty pleasure songs were. “Lionel Ritchie’s ‘Three Times The Lady’. In high school I thought that was the greatest song ever,” said Kurth. “In high school I thought that was the greatest song ever. I remember admitting that and my friend said they no longer respected me. I’m definitely a romantic at heart.” Evans chose a more recent hit, Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’. “I know it’s pop. I just love it and it is so inspirational. I just want to sing it at work.” Both stars admitted Robert Palmer’s ‘Simply Irresistible’ was another guilty favorite.

When asked if they had anything noteworthy coming up on DAYS, Wally tells us, “I have a nice conversation with my son [Sonny] and Will.”

The actors liked that the show had Justin and Adrianne be accepting of Sonny’s sexuality. “I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future story, but it is good that at least one set of parents were completely ok with it, although I think we would have more story if [Justin and Adrianne] had to deal with it.”

They both agreed one aspect they would like to see played between their characters is their marriage, “We would [like to play] some relationship issues.”
