Project Cuddle’s will honor ‘The Young and the Restless” Michelle Stafford at its annual Dinner by the Bay on Saturday, February 11, 2012.
Stafford will be honored for her outstanding contribution to Project Cuddle. The actress has served on the organization’s advisory board for 3 years and has excelled at spreading word about Project Cuddle’s cause. “Michelle has been a true ‘spunky’ angel,” says Founder and CEO Debbe Magnusen. “She is always willing to lend her name to help protect the tiniest of victims…the babies.”
The Emmy winner is preparing to launch an online fundraiser called Daytime Quacks — featuring unique rubber ducks signed by soap stars to be auctioned off for charity. “She has spoken with birth moms on the phone, encouraged me when I have met challenges and is a true cheerleader for Project Cuddle,” said Magnusen.
The “Denim and Diamonds” fundraiser held at The Hilton Long Beach and Executive Meeting Center will be hosted by national spokesperson John Stamos. Performances for the event include the Neil Morrow Band featuring John Stamos.
Other nominees include: President’s Choice Award, Dora Marie Klein; Founder’s Choice Award, Miguel Pola; Angel of the Year, Jeff & Syrna Glasser; Volunteer of the Year, Robin Johnson; and Phone Operator of the Year, Sandra Alvarado.
The Event Chairs this year are Talea Magnusen and Tamara Freedman, and the Event Hosts John Stamos and Debbe Magnusen. Lu Parker will be the Master of Ceremonies for the fundraising event, with Gary Eisenberger as Co-Master of Ceremonies.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Project Cuddle and help continue the mission of the organization to save the lives of babies from abandonment – as of today, 688 babies have been saved.
