CBS unveiled its schedule for the 2012-13 TV season and the biggest headline was the decision to move Monday night staple Two and a Half Men to Thursdays and pair it with The Big Bang Theory. By putting the number one and number two rated comedies on television together, CBS is clearly hoping to win big on Thursday nights. Returning drama Person of Interest will follow in the 9 pm slot it holds now and new drama Elementary will round out the night.

The other major move the network made was shifting The Mentalist from Thursday to 10 pm on Sunday to replace the canceled CSI: Miami. It will follow The Good Wife, which was relocated to 9 pm last year and suffered declining ratings due to programming delays caused by Sunday night football. The show is vulnerable to the same problem this year and going head to head with one of the season’s most buzzed shows, Revenge, might add to the ratings woes. 60 Minutes and The Amazing Race will continue to lead off the night beginning at 7 pm.

2 Broke Girls will shift to the 9 pm slot that Two and a Half Men used to occupy on Monday nights to make room for the new comedy, Partners, which will follow How I Met Your Mother. Mike and Molly will retain its 9:30 pm timeslot and Hawaii 5.0 will also keep its current perch at 10 pm.

Tuesday hits NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles will still air back-to-back beginning at 8 pm and the new drama Vegas will follow at 10 pm.

Wednesday night remains untouched with Survivor kicking off the night followed by Criminal Minds at 9 pm and CSI at 10 pm.

Finally, Friday night will start with CSI: New York at 8 pm and that will be followed by the new drama Made in Jersey at 9 pm. Returning drama Blue Bloods will finish the night in the 10 pm slot.

Midseason the network is planning to bring back Undercover Boss along with three new shows: the comedy Friend Me, the drama Golden Boy and the new reality show The Job. CBS still has not made a decision on the fate of Rules of Engagement and no midseason nights and times have been released.
