Shiri Appleby is going to be one busy lady. In addition to her guest starring role on HBO’s Girls, where she will play a new love interest for Adam, the Life Unexpected star is finalizing a deal for a recurring role on NBC’s new drama, Chicago Fire. Deadline was the first to report that Appleby is in talks to join the show as Clarice, the ex-girlfriend of Shay (Lauren German), who is pregnant with her wealthy husband’s baby. Chicago Fire makes its debut Wednesday, October 10 on NBC and Girls returns for its second season in January on HBO.

Following the announcement that Phoebe Tonkin was joining The Vampire Diaries, her Secret Circle costar, Shelley Henning, has landed a recurring role on MTV’s new comedy series, Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous. In the pilot, Henning played Christy, a girl-next-door type, who is the object of Zach’s affections.  No premiere date has been announced at this time.

The CW’s Arrow is also adding to its guest star list. Byron Mann (Burn Notice, Smallville) has been tapped for a recurring role on the series. Though no details have been released as to who he is playing, the role is being described as an “enigmatic man with a complex connection to Oliver Queen,” which makes it sound like he’s probably going to be a villain. Emily Bett Rickards has also landed a recurring role on the show. She’ll play Felicity Smoak, an IT expert, who works for Oliver’s company. Arrow premieres Wednesday, Oct 10 on the CW.

Amanda Fuller (Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy) is joining the cast of ABC’s Last Man Standing for its second season. Deadline is reporting that she will play Kristin, the oldest daughter of Tim Allen and Nancy Travis’ characters. Fuller replaces Alexandra Krosney, who had the role in the first season. Last Man Standing returns to ABC Friday, November 2.
