Soap star Tamara Braun has booked a guest starring role on ABC’s Castle. Will she cause trouble for Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic)?

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports Braun will play a sexy bar owner and Hampton city council woman named Natalia Roosevelt. Natalia was the last person seen with the homicide victim.

This is Braun’s second high-profile casting in recent weeks. The Daytime Emmy winner booked a role on the USA Network drama Necessary Roughness, playing Ronnie, the younger sister of Dr. Dani (Callie Thorne). Described as sassy and sexy, Ronnie pops up unexpectedly in episode 14 (airing in 2013). Braun is expected to appear in multiple episodes.

One of daytime’s most popular soap stars, Braun played fiesty mob wife Carly Corinthos on General Hospital from 2001-2005. After departing the series in 2005, Braun focused on independent films and guest starred on multiple primetime series. She returned to daytime three years later as mob princess Ava Vitali on NBC’s Days of our Lives. Braun would go on to win an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her role. She later joined All My Children for six months before leaving daytime again. In 2011, she returned to DAYS as a recast for Taylor Walker. She was written off the soap during a change in regimes.

Braun’s episode will air in October.
