We’ve still got over a month before Arrow premieres on the CW, but in a new promo, leading lady Katie Cassidy is offering viewers a glimpse into her character Laurel Lance’s life, including her complicated relationship with Oliver Queen.

The clip contains some newly released footage from the pilot and we get to see Laurel in action as a lawyer determined to bring down the city’s most powerful crooks even if the job seems impossible. Cassidy also shares her insights into Laurel’s history with Oliver and what he did to break her heart. Check out the powerful chemistry between Cassidy and Stephen Amell (Oliver) as they see each other for the first time in five years. Let’s just say Laurel isn’t exactly thrilled.

Arrow premieres Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
