'Chicago Fire' Gets Additional Five Script Order

0

Dick Wolf’s firefighter drama, Chicago Fire, has received an order for five additional scripts. If the recent increase in ratings continue, a full-season order should come soon after.

The series’ premiere didn’t exactly debut to blazing ratings (sorry, bad pun), and saw a 21 percent drop in ratings by episode two. However the drama seemed to rebound with last night’s episode, which saw a 20 percent increase in the Adults 18-49 demographic (from a 1.5 to a 1.8), and a 8 percent increase in total viewers (5.849 million to 6.297 million) amidst stiff competition.

Starring Taylor Kinney (The Vampire Diaries, Fashion House) and Jesse Spenser (House), Chicago Fire follows the lives of the men and women Firefighters, Rescue Squad and Paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51.

Chicago Fire airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
