'GH's' Lisa LoCicero and Kelly Sullivan strategize 'Survivor' teams, 'Idol' songs and more

“General Hospital’s” Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) and Kelly Sullivan (Kate/Connie) recently took some time to sit down with TV Source and answer some offbeat questions in honor of their “Crazy Falconeri Cousins” Event.

General Hospital’s” Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) and Kelly Sullivan (Kate/Connie) have made no secret of the fact that they very much enjoy sharing scenes and have become quite close off the set. Sullivan told TV Source in a previous interview that LoCicero was her first friend on the show and the two have continued to bond offscreen ever since.

Recently, the two ladies hosted their first joint fan events in Chicago and Detroit and TV Source had an opportunity to sit down with both ladies prior to the Chicago event. Since the theme was “the crazy Falconeri” cousins, we thought it might be fun to see how the actresses handled some off the wall questions.

TV Source Magazine: If ‘GH’ became ‘Survivor,’ who would you want on your team?

LoCicero: Carly would be the one you’d want because she would take out anyone’s jugular from the first second. Sam; Sam’s crafty and Dante; he gets s**t done.

Sullivan: He would. He would be like the enforcement. He’d make sure that everything was fair.

LoCicero: Yeah and he’s a good thinker, like outside the box. Sonny would be too hot-headed for ‘Survivor.’ Sure, he’s sexy, but sometimes, he doesn’t think the right way. He doesn’t use his best thinking and he doesn’t always use his inside voice.

Sullivan: (laughs) Jane Elliot? She’ll cut a bitch.

LoCicero: You probably wouldn’t necessarily want Luke on your team because he would just disappear and be drunk.

Sullivan: Yeah and you wouldn’t see him for days.

LoCicero: You wouldn’t necessarily want Elizabeth on your team; she might not be trustworthy. Jax would have been a good person on your team.

Sullivan: Would we want Alexis?

LoCicero: Only if there were legal issues at stake.

Sullivan: Only if we have some sort of government in place.

LoCicero: Yeah, that’s our team right there.

TV Source: What song would you sing if you were auditioning for ‘American Idol?’

LoCicero: ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart.’

Sullivan: I would sing Pat Benatar for sure.

LoCicero: There you go. ‘Heartbreaker.’

TV Source: What superpower would you want?

LoCicero: My son just asked me this the other day and I went with flying.

Sullivan: I would like to have, not time travel, but transport. I want to be in New York right now (snaps fingers). I’m in New York.

LoCicero: Dude, if you could fly, that’s kind of like having that.

Sullivan: (Doesn’t look convinced) But then you’d have to fly to New York.

LoCicero: But it would be fun and you could fly really fast and then you could also teleport.

Sullivan: Teleport! Okay, I think that’s a good thing.

TV Source: What canceled/ended TV show would you have liked to have been on?

LoCicero: I would have to love to have been on ‘Dark Shadows,’ a vampire period soap opera. I like ‘The Edge of Night’ also, but I’m going to say ‘Dark Shadows.’ (Sullivan is quietly thinking). You can just say ‘Dark Shadows’ too.

Sullivan: Between ‘Chips’ and –

LoCicero: Oh! I thought you just meant soap operas. Any show? Oh s**t. ‘Fantasy Island’ maybe.

Sullivan: Something like that. Maybe ‘Gilligan’s Island’ would probably be fun.

LoCicero: I would like a good scary ‘Fantasy Island’ like the Barbi Benton and the ventriloquist dummy.

Sullivan: I would love to be on ‘The Carol Burnett Show,’ just like a series regular every week, just to be able to play with her.

LoCicero: That would be very fun

Sullivan: I kind of have an obsession with Carol Burnett.

TV Source: If you could play any male character on ‘GH,’ who would it be?

LoCicero: I would say Todd because he gets to be funny and they let him adlib. He seems like he has a lot of fun and his character can do anything because he has no morals so it’s like a win-win.

Sullivan: Yes! Like you don’t expect anything better of him, so you can’t hold him to any standards.

LoCicero: That’s the hard thing with Olivia because she’s always so moral so it cuts down on some of the things you’d believe she would do. Like she wouldn’t sleep with a married man so she doesn’t get to have as much fun.

Sullivan: Yeah, Moral Mabel over there.

LoCicero: Right?

Sullivan: Connie has no morals. Connie comes from fear. She comes from a place of self-preservation at all costs and she’s not afraid to go after what she wants and do what it takes to get it because her ultimate fear is that she’ll die. It comes from a really strong place of survival. She’d probably be good on ‘Survivor’ too.

LoCicero: Oh yeah, I assumed that we were already on the same team; I didn’t feel like I had to say you because we were already on the same team.

Sullivan: I don’t know if she would have a lot of allies on the show.

LoCicero: Of course, if I had you, I’d have two people on the team for the price of one.

Sullivan: She’d be that one character that everybody hates. She’d be the person who would go over here and talk crap about that person and then go over there and try to stir it up and faze people out.

LoCicero: Mmhmm, and I’d be seeing the future and be like, ‘I like this. This team is going to win.’

Catch both actresses on “General Hospital” weekdays at 2:00 p.m. EST on ABC.
