What was initially a multi-episode recurring role on ABC’s Nashville has the potential to turn into a series regular gig for According to Jim alum Kimberly Williams-Paisley.

Deadline exclusively reports that the actress, who has appeared in six of the series’ original 13 episodes, will appear in at least three of the nine episodes ordered by ABC in October. If the show is renewed for a second season, Williams-Paisley has the option of becoming a series regular.

The actress joined the musical sudser earlier this season as Peggy Samper, a former co-worker and ex-lover of Teddy Conrad (Eric Close).

Nashville airs Wednesdays on ABC at 10:00 p.m.
