Pre-nominations for the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. The Young and the Restless leads the pack with 20 nominations!

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) in cooperation with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), today announced the Drama Performer Pre-Nominations for the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards.

The Lead Actress category contains 11 pre-nominated performers due to a tie. The candidates below who received the highest number of votes now advance to the blue ribbon at-home screening round, scheduled to begin on March 27th, 2013, which will determine both nominees and recipients. This year due to the number of entrants in the Younger Actress and Younger Actor categories for Drama Series Performers age 25 or under, there was no pre-nomination round necessary, so the 9 entrants in each of those categories will advance to the Blue Ribbon round as entrants.
