ABC pulls ‘Happy Endings’ from the schedule again; will shift to Fridays in March

0

Late Wednesday night, ABC announced that it would be once again pulling Happy Endings from its timeslot and shelving the comedy until the end of March, which will see it shift to Friday nights.

The comedy, which was originally scheduled to begin doubling up on Tuesday nights when it returned from the latest hiatus on Feb. 26, will now be replaced with The Taste and Celebrity Wife Swap will take over the 8 p.m. slot where The Taste is currently airing.

Tuesday night is a particularly terrible timeslot for any show (RIP Emily Owens, M.D. and Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23), but Happy Endings did see a slight uptick in the ratings for its last outing of back-to-back episodes.

Despite the nice things ABC President Paul Lee told reporters at the Winter TCA press event, it doesn’t seem like the outlook is good for the comedy, which has a very loyal fan following.

Happy Endings will return on Friday, March 29 at 8 p.m. with back-to-back episodes.
