‘Arrow’ Sweeps Preview: Oliver and the Dark Archer battle for The Glades

0

There are only three episodes left in Arrow’s first season and the show’s writers and producers have promised more excitement, more drama and enough suspense to make viewers want to start counting down to Season 2 immediately. This week, The CW offered a sneak peek for viewers to see what’s coming up next.

In this week’s episode, Oliver managed to alienate Dig and Tommy, leaving Felicity as the only person who knows his secret and still wants to help him. Of course, Roy would be more than willing to step up to the plate, but first he and Thea need to find out who is behind the hood.

[SPOILERS AHEAD]

The Undertaking” (airing May 1) – In this episode, we finally get to learn a little more about the mysterious organization that Moira and Malcolm are a part of. In a flashback sequence, Malcolm recalls telling Robert Queen and Frank Chen what happened when his wife died and what he plans to do in The Glades. When Oliver and Felicity get a lead on Walter, Felicity gets a chance to take part in a field operation, but things don’t go according to plan. Meanwhile, Tommy stuns Laurel with the truth. But what truth is he talking about? Somehow, we doubt he’s spilling Oliver’s secret.

Darkness on the Edge of Town” (airing May 8) – Once again, Malcolm is up to no good. The Undertaking is days away and the Dark Archer is doing businesses with a seismologist and his team. Will there be another confrontation between the Hood and the Dark Archer? Signs point to ‘yes’ when Moira is placed in danger. Roy and Thea continue their search for the Hood’s true identity and Laurel makes a decision based on whatever secret Tommy shared with her. Meanwhile, the island flashbacks heat up as Oliver, Slade and Shado attempt to stop Fryers from shooting a Ferris Air jet out of the sky (is Hal Jordan coming to town???).

Sacrifice” (airing May 15) – Oliver and Dig (guess they made up – yay!) race to stop the Dark Archer from unleashing his vengeance on The Glades, but they have another problem on their hands. Detective Lance has brought Felicity in for questioning. Tommy and Oliver are still fighting and things get worse when Oliver makes a confession to Laurel (Since again, we doubt he’s spilling his secret, maybe he admits that he still loves her?). Thea rushes to find Roy and ends up in the Dark Archer’s crosshairs. On the island, the good guys (I guess?) are still trying to stop Fryers from hitting the jet with a missile.
