‘All My Children’s’ Shannon Kane lands recurring role on ‘The Originals’

Watch out, vampires, a new witch is coming to “The Originals.” The CW drama set to officially premiere this October has tapped former “All My Children” actress Shannon Kane for the recurring role of Sabine.

In the backdoor pilot that aired in April, viewers were introduced to sisters Sophie (Daniella Pineda) and Jane Anne Deveraux (Malaya Rivera Drew), two witches who were determined to stop Marcel’s (Charles Michael Davis) reign of terror over the witches in New Orleans. Sadly, their plan cost Jane Anne her life.

But it sounds like Sabine might be there to help. Kane’s character is described as ‘wild, bold and sexy; Sabine is a street-smart tour guide in New Orleans who also happens to be a leading member of the French Quarter’s witch community,” according to E! News which first reported Kane’s casting.

Of course the Deveraux sisters are not the only witches in town. For those that have seen the director’s cut of the pilot, currently available on The CW’s website, there was a small glimpse of Davina (Danielle Campbell), a powerful witch, who Marcel is keeping a very close eye on.

In addition to her role as Natalia Fowler on “All My Children,” Kane has also appeared on “Hollywood Heights.”

“The Originals” premieres Thursday, Oct. 3 at 9/8c on The CW.
