Former Soap Star Antonio Sabato, Jr. Lands Guest Spot on ‘Castle’

Castle” is once again dipping into the soap star talent pool for its sixth season. Former “General Hospital” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” actor Antonio Sabato, Jr. has signed on for a guest appearance in an upcoming episode.

Sabato will play Ramon Russo, an actor who is known for his role in the sitcom “2 Cool for School.” Modeled after the popular “Saved By the Bell” series, “2 Cool for School” is reuniting its cast for a movie when the Screech-inspired character is murdered, according to TV Guide, which first reported the news.

The actor joins a long list of both former and current soap stars to guest on the series including Justin Hartley, Nancy Lee Grahn, Jason Thompson, Tamara Braun, Victor Webster and many more. “Castle” stars Nathan Fillion and Seamus Dever also have soap cred at “One Life to Live” and “General Hospital,” respectively.

“Castle” returns Monday, Sept. 23 at 10/9c on ABC.
