Arrow is once again dipping into the DC Comics catalog of characters for its second season on The CW. The superhero drama has nabbed The Killing’s Bex Taylor-Klaus for a two-episode arc as Sin.

Thanks to Colton Haynes (Roy), we know the actress is already on set in Vancouver filming. She will appear in episodes three and four and along with her connection to Roy, Sin will be part of the Black Canary storyline.

Critics and fans alike were thrown for a loop when news broke that Caity Lutz had signed on to play the Black Canary, an alter ego everyone assumed was destined for Katie Cassidy’s Laurel. Producers were quick to point out that this is an origin story and Oliver was not the first Green Arrow on the show.

The connection between Sin and the Black Canary is straight out of the comics. The character first appeared in the Birds of Prey series as a little girl Dinah met while training in Asia with a martial arts master.

Arrow premieres its second season on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 8/7c on The CW.
