Freshman year just got a little more complicated now that Rick Cosnett has been cast has an enemy for two of our favorite ladies on The Vampire Diaries.
Caroline and Elena may be looking for a fun, freshman year, but a new college professor won’t be making things easy on them. Rick Cosnett, a newcomer to American television, whose credits include Austrailian TV and theatre, will join the cast when the show returns for season 5. Cosnett has been cast as Dr. Wes Maxfield, a biology professor at Whitmore College. Elena and Caroline will probably regret registering for biology when Dr. Maxfield becomes a major enemy on campus. Of course, he’s not entirely innocent because the girls will discover that Dr. Maxfield has a dangerous secret of his own. Uh, oh!
The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday, October 3 at 8 ET/PT on the CW.
