There’s good news for Arrow fans that didn’t have time to marathon watch the series over the summer. The CW plans to air a one-hour special the week before the season two premiere.

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, “Arrow: Year One” will take a look back at the first season and also give viewers an exclusive look at season two. Check out the full description from The CW below.

This one-hour special gives fans a chance to catch up on the incredible events that led billionaire Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) to secretly create the persona of Arrow. Five years after being lost at sea, Oliver returns to Starling City to carry out his father’s dying wish: take down the corrupt elite who have failed his city.

The special follows Oliver as he delivers vigilante justice and discovers that the real threat to his city is far greater than he ever imagined.  An exclusive first look at season two is included. The special also stars Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes, Manu Bennett, Susanna Thompson and Paul Blackthorne.”

Arrow kicks off its second season on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 8/7c on The CW.

  1. Love that the CW is doing a season recap special for viewers who might be checking out Arrow for the 1st time and need to catch up. It’s a great show and I’m excited about S2. The action/stunts are terrific, the stories fast-paced, and then there’s the always-complex Oliver Queen. And who can forget Oliver’s awesome chem with Felicity Smoak? Love them. Great show!
