‘Hart of Dixie’ Season 3 Preview: Everybody Hates Zoe Hart

1

Judging by the latest Hart of Dixie preview released by The CW, maybe you can’t go home again; at least not if your name is Zoe Hart.

When the southern drama kicks off its third season in a few weeks, summer is coming to an end in Bluebell and Zoe is just getting back from New York. She interrupts a town gathering in the church (please let this be a Gilmore Girls style town hall meeting) and happily announces that she’s back and she brought bagels.

But there’s a slight problem. No one is happy to see her (except Lavon and Annabeth, but that was a given). Various town residents including Cricket, Tom and of course, Lemon, quickly make it clear to Zoe that she is no longer welcome in Bluebell. What did the good doctor do to make everyone so angry?

We’ve got two theories: for one thing, she left for the entire summer when she was only supposed to go to NYC for a weekend wedding. The town probably feels abandoned or that Zoe once again thinks she’s too good to be part of their world. But some of that anger could also stem from the fact that Wade professed his love to her and Zoe walked away.

That certainly seems to be where Lemon’s outrage is coming from. She rushes to warn Wade that he needs to brace himself for terrible news and then tells him Zoe is back. Wade and Zoe have a confrontation of their own, but that doesn’t seem to be enough for Lemon. She tells Zoe that Wade has a new girlfriend now. Has Wade really moved on or is Lemon just messing with Zoe’s head? We can’t wait to find out.

Finally, it looks like George has not had the best summer. He’s been drinking and most likely eating his troubles away and when Zoe shows up at his door, he immediately closes it.

In other Bluebell news, Zoe is about to get a new cousin. Paranormal Activity’s Lauren Bittner has been tapped to play Vivian, who is a relative of Zoe’s on Harvey Wilkes’ side of the family. Will the cousins get along or will this be one more member of the ‘We Hate Zoe’ Club?
