‘The Originals’ Promo Roundup: What does New Orleans have in store for the Mikaelson family?

0

Unless you’ve been living under a rock or – gasp – you’re not a fan of vampires, then you probably know that The CW is launching a new series next month featuring the Mikaelson family of Original vampires, first introduced on The Vampire Diaries.

The Originals brings Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) to New Orleans, a town they once called home centuries ago. Making the journey from Mystic Falls with them is Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), a werewolf who had a one night stand with Klaus and ended up pregnant.

Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) was once Klaus’ protégé and now he has everything Klaus wants: power, family, loyalty, etc. and Klaus is determined to claim the kingdom for himself.

One of Marcel’s enemies, a witch named Sophie (Daniella Pineda), teams up with Klaus and Elijah to bring down the vampire king. He’s got a secret weapon that he uses to let him know when witches are using magic.

Then, there’s Cami (Leah Pipes), the only ‘human’ in the supernatural universe. She’s a bartender and a psychology major and she doesn’t seem like the type who scares easily, which is a good thing since war is about to break out around her.

Even though The Originals will eventually air on Tuesday nights, The CW is premiering the first episode on a special night following the season five premiere of The Vampire Diaries. Catch both shows Thursday, Oct. 3 beginning at 8/7c on The CW.
