‘White Collar’ Preview: Season 5 has Peter in jail and Neal making a deal with the devil

0

Is it just us or does it feel like it’s been forever since Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) and the rest of the White Collar crew have graced our TV screens? It has been six long months since the season four finale aired and we still have to wait until October 17 for the new season to start. How are we supposed to survive?

Luckily, USA Network can tell that the ‘Collars’ are hanging on by a thin thread as we cross off dates on our calendars and today they released the first preview that includes footage from the new season.

Naturally, it doesn’t give too much away, but here’s what we know: Season 5 picks up with Peter (Tim DeKay) facing murder charges since Neal’s father left him holding the smoking gun and skipped town (that guy was the worst). Neal is determined to get Peter’s name cleared and Elle (Tiffani Thiessen) tells him to do whatever it takes.

‘Whatever it takes’ means teaming up with fellow forger Curtis Hagen (Mark Sheppard). We’re guessing whatever con the Dutchman wants to run with Neal will land him in hot water. Luckily, Mozzie (Willie Garson) has managed to figure out how to do something pretty important.

Check out the video and see what else season five has in store (did we mention Neal is dressed as a fireman?) and then hit the comments and tell us what you’d like to see in the coming season.

White Collar returns Thursday, Oct. 17 at 9/8c on USA Network.
