CW orders additional scripts for ‘The Originals’, ‘Reign’ and ‘The Tomorrow People’

On Thursday, The CW gave the order for three additional scripts for each of their new fall series, The Originals, The Tomorrow People and Reign.

All three series were originally picked up for 13 episodes and this is the first step toward full season orders, but it is by no means a guarantee that the shows will receive full season pickups.

Last year, The CW did the same thing with Beauty and the Beast and Emily Owens, M.D., but sadly, Emily Owens was still canceled after 13 episodes and those final three scripts were never filmed.

The Originals has aired two episodes so far and has held a solid .9 in the demo and The Tomorrow People debuted last night to a .8 in the demo. Reign will air its first episode next Thursday.
