USA Network Renews ‘Suits’ for Season 4; extends deal with showrunner

Good news, Suitors! On Thursday, USA Network announced that Suits was being renewed for season four and the show’s creator and showrunner Aaron Korsh has signed on to continue with the show and develop new series for the network.

Suits, which is currently on hiatus until January, has delivered great numbers for the network. According to the official press release, in the third quarter, Suits was among the top five scripted dramas in the 18-49 demographic, among the top 10 in the 25-54 demo and was the number one scripted drama series on television Tuesday nights in the 18-49.

“From the beginning, we’ve seen Suits as a long term player for the studio and we look forward to extending our relationship with Aaron,” Jeff Wachtel, President and Chief Content Officer of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, said in a statement, “Harvey, Mike and the rest of the Suits’ crew are characters that have created a dedicated and enthusiastic audience.”

Suits will return this winter for the remaining six episodes of season three and then season four will consist of 16 episodes airing in 2014 and 2015.
