Ratings: ‘Bold and the Beautiful,’ ‘Young and the Restless’ Deliver Multi-Year Highs for CBS Daytime

CBS Daytime started off the New Year the right away – with major ratings momentum! Flagship soap operas The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless delivered six year and three year Nielsen ratings highs, respectively, for the week ending Jan. 5, 2014.

The Bold and the Beautiful averaged 4.13 million viewers, its largest weekly audience since the week ending Feb. 29, 2008.  It also delivered its best women 18-49 rating (1.2/06) since the week ending Sept. 6, 2013 and its best women 25-54 rating (1.7/08) since the week ending Jan. 18, 2013.

The Young and the Restless delivered 5.31 million viewers, its largest weekly audience since the week ending Feb. 4, 2011.

  1. Funny thing, Michael Muhney and Billy Miller are driving the show right now. With both exiting on January 30th, we’ll see if this continues. The scandal has obviously driven these numbers as well. It’s certainly not the quality of the show or the other actors.
