Australian actor Zachary Garred has landed a recurring role on ABC’s General Hospital reports Soap Opera Digest. Who is he playing and what does his character have to do with the soon-to-return Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms)?

According to SOD, Garred will play Levi, a free spirit who crosses paths with Maxie. The role is expected to last several months. He first airs Thursday, April 3.

Though a newcomer to US soaps, this isn’t the hunky 27-year old actor’s first foray in the soap genre. In 2005, he recurred on Aussie soap Home & Away as Bert Biddle, a hospital intern.  Zachary Garred’s additional credits include Foreign Exchange, Out of the Blue, All Saints and My Place. He also performed voice acting work in the 2011 video game L.A. Noire.
