The time has come. As hard as it is to believe and as much as we would like to deny it, this gut wrenching season of The Good Wife comes to an end on Sunday. After taking us on the mother of all emotional roller coasters, the show will air its final season five episode, surely leaving us mouths agape and brains overflowing with questions and theories for season six.

What big decision will be made to leave us hanging and begging for more until the show returns in September? We will just have to watch and find out. In the aptly named season finale, “A Weird Year,”(I’ll say) there will be chaos, celebration and…drunk grandmothers?

What we know:

A past case comes back to bite Alicia and Lockhart/Gardner in the ass.

Alicia and Cary face an unexpected threat to their firm. Is it from Lockhart/Gardner? Will this make or break their partnership?

Canning makes it clear to Diane that he wants his role in the firm to be more than it is. But at what, or whose, expense?

Eli asks Alicia a question that causes her to take a step back and think about what she really wants to do.

Florrick/Agos have a meeting and Diane is present, right in the middle of the group. Wait. What?

Zach graduates. Finally.

Howard Lyman, ladies and gentlemen. You’ll see.

Diane makes a decision. How will it affect her life and in turn, Kalinda?

While planning and preparing for Zach’s graduation party, a task entrusted to them by Alicia, Veronica and Jackie…get drunk. A turn of events that, while I am positive will be absolutely comical, will also drive Alicia and Peter nuts.

What I would like to happen:

Alicia and Diane form a new partnership.

Canning leaves and never returns.

We get to see the graduation party and Mama Alicia being adorable and sappy over her baby boy (Maybe also incredibly snarky with Jackie).

After the party, Alicia meets Diane and Kalinda at a bar. They toast Will and their new partnership. And they get drunk. Together. End of episode.

That’s all I want. Is that too much to ask for?

Whatever happens will surely lay the foundation for what we will be headed for in season six. So now I want to hear your thoughts. What do you think will happen in the finale? Better yet, what would you like to see happen? Check out the photos and video preview provided by CBS, then hit the comments and share your wishful thinking with me!

The Good Wife airs its season finale on Sunday, May 18 at 9/8c on CBS.
