NYC Brand Productions first scripted series, Tainted Dreams garners its first Emmy nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) in a new category making its debut this year, Outstanding New Approaches – Drama Series. Tainted Dreams shares its nomination in this category with pioneering programs Devanity, Venice The Series, and The Power Inside.

Tainted Dreams’ executive producer and two-time Emmy-winning director/producer, Sonia Blangiardo says, “All of us at NYC Brand Productions are tremendously grateful to the Academy for recognizing the importance and growth of new approaches to drama, particularly daytime drama. Daytime drama suffered so many losses over the past few years, it is rewarding and gratifying to see its resurgence in general and in particular, to be a part of formulating new models of creating, producing and distributing serial drama. We applaud and thank the Academy for fostering and encouraging these new approaches.”

Blangiardo went on to say, “Our team is genuinely thrilled and humbled to receive an Emmy nomination based on the three webisodes we made available as a sneak peek. With Tainted Dreams, our team wanted to create a high-quality series, accessible to as many viewers as possible, and sustainable for multiple seasons. Finding the right distribution model and platform to achieve our goal is taking longer than we anticipated, but we have more than six hours of Tainted Dreams Season 1 we are excited for fans to see.”

Blangiardo invites everyone to “enjoy our new All-Star promo from the Tainted Dreams cast saluting the collective daytime heritage of our cast, and if you havent seen them, catch our first three Emmy-nominated webisodes free at Tainted Dreams Sneak Peek.”

Tainted Dreams‘ all-star ensemble includes Alicia Minshew (All My Children), Terri Ivens (All My Children), Grant Aleksander (Guiding Light), Kelley Menighan Hensley (As the World Turns), Walt Willey (All My Children), Natalia Livingston (General Hospital), Marnie Schulenburg (As the World Turns), Michael Lowry (All My Children), Austin Peck (Days of our Lives), Colleen Zenk (As the World Turns), Larkin Malloy (Edge of Night and All My Children), Ilene Kristen (Ryans Hope and One Life to Live), Tonja Walker (General Hospital and One Life to Live), James DePaiva (One Life to Live), Dina Manzo (Dinas Party and Real Housewives of New Jersey), Lisa Marie Varon (IMPACT WRESTLING), Mr. PEC-Tacular Jessie Godderz (IMPACT WRESTLING and Big Brother), and from the Off-Broadway comedy hits, My Big Gay Italian Wedding and My Big Gay Italian Funeral Anthony Wilkinson, Debra Toscano, Paul Moon, Brian Patrick Murphy, Brett Douglas, Erik Ransom, Meagan Robar and Marissa Perry with billboard dance chart topper, Kim Sozzi and introducing newcomer, MaryBeth Griffith of Columbus, Ohio.
