Two years after moving to 2PM, ABC’s General Hospital is returning to the 3PM timeslot it called home for nearly 25 years, ABC has confirmed.

Information on the specific markets affected and the date of transition is unavailable at this time, but is expected to be released in the near future.

It’s important to note that this move doesn’t mean General Hospital’s future is in danger. Quite the contrary, the network is very happy with the series’ performance. With the cancelation of Katie Couric’s awful talk show, many markets want GH to return to its original slot as a lead in for their news broadcasts.

Will the change in timeslot affect your viewing habits?
