Rosaie’s Secret Finally Reveals Itself

Screenshot 2015-08-16 22.37.53The new writers have a lot of work to do as far as resolving some of the long awaited reveals. Who’s Nathan’s father? What’s the dark secret in Nina’s past? Well Jake ever find out he’s Jason? Who was the patient that Kevin kept leaving to go visit instead of spending time with Lucy? Is Kevin even still around? What’s the deal with Sloane? Where the heck is Robin at right now? I could go on but you get the picture. A lot of story lines have questions that have never been answered. Luckily we can now cross Rosalie’s secret off that list now thanks to Friday’s episode.

After Brad proposed to Lucas on television during the Nurse’s Ball, he started to flake out. With some probing, he admitted to Lucas that he couldn’t marry him because he’s already married. Turns out his wife is Rosalie. Yep. That’s her big secret. I’m not sure what’s so awful about this secret that Rosalie would have put up with as much as she has for so long in order to keep it from being getting out. So her husband likes dudes. It happens.

Obviously there is more to this marriage than what we’ve been told so far. There’s got to be in order for any of this to make sense anyways. I have a feeling that Brad’s mobster family may have something to do with it all. Maybe Rosalie has some mobster ties herself and this is a peacemaking marriage between two different families. I have long suspected that Rosalie is related to Alcazar. Since the whole Tomas/Alcazar story line wasn’t able to be played, maybe the connection between Alcazar and Ted King’s alter-ego from The City Danny Roberts can be. For those unfamiliar with The City, Danny had an one night stand with mob princess Carla Soleito (who’s father Gino was married to Tracy Quartermaine). Carla ended up pregnant as a result. Then the series ended. Perhaps Rosalie is that baby all grown up.  That’s the story I would like anyways. I’m not a fan of the over-played mob stuff but if GH is going to do that then at least make it fun.

Wedding Blues

I went back and forth as to whether or not I wanted to even mention the upcoming nuptials for Carly and Sonny. This engagement is boring! All week the couple pretty much just sat in their house while people came to visit them. The big lovey-dovey moment for them was when Sonny wanted to have sex but Carly left to go shopping instead.

It’s really hard for me to take this story line seriously for so many reasons. The top of that list though is that it’s very obvious we’re heading towards yet another disaster wedding. Yay? GH’s weddings aren’t celebrations for couples who have earned a moment of happiness after battling the odds. These once glorious occasions basically lead to misery. Look at the other happily engaged couple in Port Charles right now, Jake and Liz. She’s lying to him about his true identity so something tells me that their wedding bliss isn’t going to last. Not to mention that they’ve been an actual couple for less than a year. Let’s look at the last few weddings that have taken place on GH. Nina and Ric got married because he’s after her money and she was mad at her boyfriend. Carly and Franco walked down the aisle because he wanted revenge on her for boinking Sonny. Patrick and Sabrina had a very lovely ceremony until his wife showed up. Now these were all entertaining in there own way but where’s the love? Next time someone gets married can it be a happy occasion? Please and thank you!
