A Hard Choice

After suffering a major setback during surgery, Billy’s (now played by Jason Thompson) life is hanging in the balance. Billy’s loved ones handle the news differently – Jill pleading with Dr. Neville to save her son, Victoria throwing herself into work, Jack wishing he could have done more. When it becomes apparent that Billy’s low brain activity hasn’t improved, the Abbotts and Victoria agonize over what to do next. Thankfully for Victoria, that decision is out of her hands when Michael reveals that Billy put Jack in charge of his medical decisions. Victoria grapples with an uncertain future without Billy. Facing a painful decision about Billy, Jack ultimately resigns himself to the fact that Billy wouldn’t want to spend the rest of his life connected to machines. As the Abbotts prepare to say goodbye to Billy, something happens…
