0

Following its Emmy win for Outstanding New Approaches Drama Series last year at the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, LANY Entertainment is excited to announce The Bay has received 5 new Daytime Emmy nominations this year for the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The Bay is nominated for Outstanding Digital Daytime Drama Series. Mary Beth Evans (Sara Garrett), Lilly Melgar (Janice Ramos), and Patsy Pease (Lola Baker) are nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series as well as Kristos Andrews (Pete Garrett) for Outstanding Actor in a Digital Daytime Drama Series. The winners will be announced at the Creative Arts Emmys on Friday, April 29th.

In addition to this year’s Emmy nominations, recent accolades for The Bay include 11 total nominations for the 7th Annual Indie Series Awards taking place at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood on Wednesday, April 6th. The Bay is nominated for Best Web Drama Series, Best Directing (Gregori J. Martin), Best Lead Actress (Lilly Melgar as Janice Ramos), Best Supporting Actress (Karrueche Tran as Vivian Johnson), Best Supporting Actor (Tristan Rogers as Lex Martin), Best Cinematography and more. The Bay was also announced as an Official Selection at this year’s HollyWeb Festival, known for showcasing the best digital series in the world, taking place April 1st – 3rd at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.

“We’re truly humbled by the accolades The Bay is receiving this year from the ISAs and Hollyweb Fest,” states Martin, “and so excited for the show to be recognized with not one, but five Daytime Emmy nods this year. I’m beyond grateful to receive this type of love from our peers in the daytime community and digital space.”

LANY Entertainment is also excited for production to begin on four to six brand new episodes, immediately following the Daytime Emmys this May. Continuing with his signature approach in ending with dramatic cliffhangers, Martin is thrilled with the outpouring from fans and supporters anxious to find out what happens next in the fictitious town of Bay City. On the distribution front, all new episodes of The Bay will be released this summer on a highly reputable distribution platform. Details will be released soon. For more information regarding The Bay go to the official site at www.thebaytheseries.com.
