Prolific producer Dick Wolf’s Chicago universe is getting another addition. Joining Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med is legal spinoff Chicago Justice, announced for pickup by NBC today.

Chicago Justice (formerly Chicago Law), starring Philip Winchester (Strike Back, The Player), centers on a group of prosecutors and investigators at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, navigating city politics and controversy all the while fearlessly pursuing justice. Balancing public opinion amid high-stakes cases, a watchful media, political infighting and the fight against injustice with their love for the law often pulls them in multiple directions.

As with previous Chicago series, Chicago Justice aired as a backdoor pilot, this time in the May 9 episode of Chicago P.D.

Nazneen Contractor (Heroes Reborn), Joelle Carter (Justified), Carl Weathers (Rocky) and Ryan-James Hatanaka also star.
