It looks like General Hospital may be looking to cast an actor to play the much-missed Jeff Webber according to a new casting call issued.

Soap Opera Digest reports the casting call is seeking a male, “late 50s-early 60’s” who is “Caucasian, handsome, dynamic, charismatic” for what is described as a major recurring role. Given the recent reveal that Hayden (Rebecca Budig) is Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) half-sister and Jeff’s illegitimate daughter, now would be the perfect time for a return. Plus, you know, it would be great if Jeff acknowledged the presence of the daughter that has lived in Port Charles for 20 years, as well as his three grandchildren.

It’s been 35 years since Jeff Webber was last seen in Port Charles. Richard Dean Anderson (McGyver) originated the role in 1976, playing the character until 1981. His daughters — Sarah and Elizabeth — moved to Port Charles in the 90s when they were sent to live with their step-grandmother Audrey. Jeff’s son Steven was featured for a brief time in 2004-2005 before returning as a regular character from 2009-2013.
