Supergirl newcomer Katie McGrath will be a contract regular next season on The CW’s superhero drama.

The actress made her debut in the fourth episode of this season as Lena Luthor, sister of the nefarious Lex Luthor, who moves to National City to start anew and rebuild the Luthor name into a force of good. Lena formed a friendship with Kara (Melissa Benoist) and helped Supergirl thwart the machinations of the evil CADMUS, led by someone she’s revealed to have a connection to.

McGrath’s TV credits include Netflix’s Frontier, NBC’s Dracula and BBC’s Merlin.

Supergirl airs Mondays on The CW.
