Imagine what it would be like to go from being a normal college student struggling with Econ to landing the leading role in the kind of movie that would make you a household name.

That’s the premise behind Freeform’s newest drama Famous in Love.

Bella Thorne stars as Paige Townsen, a girl who dreams of being an actress, but always planned to stick to the safer route. Her best friend Cassie (Georgie Flores) convinces her to audition for a role in Locked (think Twilight plus time travel), and the rest is history.

We’ve seen all 10 episodes of the addictive drama and we are all the way in love with everything the show has to offer. Here’s why we think you should tune in tonight:

#1 Everyone Loves a Cinderella Story

An unknown college student scores the role of a lifetime. Suddenly, she’s thrust into a whole new world of press junkets, costume fittings, and gorgeous costars. But what happens to her regular life when she’s not quite ready to let go of it? You’ll want to be along for the ride.

#2 Take a Peek Behind the Hollywood Curtain

Admit it. You’re curious what it’s like being on a movie set. Just as UnREAL showed us the behind the scenes world of reality TV, Famous in Love gives us a glimpse of what being a movie star is like on a daily basis. Spoiler alert: it’s not all glitz and glamour.

#3 Girl Power

Make no mistake: the ladies are running the show. Paige, Nina (Perrey Reeves), Cassie, Tangey (Pepi Sonuga), Alexis (Niki Koss)…good luck choosing a favorite character. We predict you’ll fall in love with all of them. Or, maybe a little bit of a love to hate scenario. All the ladies bring their A-game.

#4 Complicated Bromance

Once upon a time, Rainer Devon (Carter Jenkins) and Jordan Wilder (Keith Powers) were the best of friends. Now, they can barely look at each other without punches being thrown. Trust us. You’ll want to know what happened and whether they can repair the damage to their friendship.

#5 So. Many. Juicy. Backstories.

We’re not going to spoil anything, but good luck keeping your jaws off the floor. No one is quite what they seem. And secrets have a way of coming out at the worst possible time. Have your popcorn ready because twists hide behind every corner.

#6 Love Triangles Galore

Yes, yes, we see you rolling your eyes and saying, ‘ugh, another love triangle? No thank you.’ But as much as everyone claims to be done with love triangles, we all rush to choose sides every time there’s a new one. They’re a popular plot device for a reason, and Famous in Love makes strong cases for all the teams.

#7 Pretty People, Pretty Places, Pretty Music

The show is gorgeous. And we’re not just talking about the cast. Although, seriously, look at all these pretty people. The setting offers breathtaking views of LA. The costumes are drool-worthy. And the music elevates each scene to the next level. Prepare to create a playlist.

#8 It’s Relatable

We know what you’re thinking: how relatable can it be if we’ve never set foot in Hollywood or dreamed of being a star? Strip away the movie set and you’re left with people struggling to find their way in the world. Work, school, friendships, family, love, loss, growing up, identity, secrets…you’ve been there, too.

#9 The Real Life Story of the Show is Inspiring

Famous in Love is based on the novel by Rebecca Serle. She’s also an executive producer and co-creator of the show, which is not how things typically work for an author. Check out this post on how Serle turned her dream into a reality. How can you not want to see the finished product of all her hard work?

#10 To Binge or Not to Binge

In the era of peak TV, especially when spring is tempting us to step outside once in a while, it’s easy for shows to slip through the cracks. Freeform’s got your back. After the first episode airs tonight, all 10 episodes of the series will be available on their app, and on Hulu. Go ahead and binge or watch the old fashioned way. Just watch!

Famous in Love premieres tonight (April 18) on Freeform at 9/8c after the final spring premiere of Pretty Little Liars.
