Suits is getting into the family business.

Former General Hospital actor Stephen Macht has been tapped to guest star on the USA Network, drama which just happens to star his son Gabriel Macht.

We’ve already met Harvey Specter’s dad so instead the elder Macht will be playing Professor Gerard, a longtime Harvard Law professor, who is notorious for his high standards and rigid ways, according to TVLine. He will arrive in the second episode of the winter half of the season.

It turns out that Harvey might not have met those standards. Executive Producer Aaron Korsh told TVLine that the two men do not have a positive history and their scene is confrontational. He also said that the character will play an integral role in one of the storylines for the final six episodes of the season.

Even though Harvey might not be a fan, Macht was clearly excited to have his dad on set. The actor tweeted the behind the scenes picture above as well as this one.

Macht’s previous TV roles include a memorable stint as Trevor Lansing on General Hospital where he made it his life’s mission to torture Sonny (Maurice Bernard) while working as legal counsel for a rival mob family. Macht has also appeared in The Mentalist, Femme Fatales, Castle and Boston Public.

Suits returns in early 2014 on USA Network.
