Tristan Rogers Checks Into the NightShift

Tristan Rogers will reprise his role of superspy Robert Scorpio on the upcoming season of “General Hospital: Night Shift.”

Appearing in the third episode, the actor will reunite with on screen daughter Kimberly McCullough (Robin). Tristan returned to “General Hospital” in 2006 as part of the show’s February Sweeps storyline. In it, Robert uncharacteristically teamed up with local mob hitman Jason Morgan to help save the residents of Port Charles from a deadly encephalitis outbreak. He returned in May 2006 for an adventure storyline where he shared an on-screen reunion with Finola Hughes (Anna) for the first time in years.

Though fans have clamored for the character of Robert to return to the canvas, the show appeared to have no interest in bringing back the oft outspoken actor. In his Myspace blog, the actor openly criticized his return storyline in 2006.

Rogers has had a long list of credits to his name including a stint on the CBS daytime drama, “The Bold & The Beautiful,” along with Walker Texas Ranger, Family Law, Babylon 5, and voice overs for the Outback Steakhouse franchise.

The second season of “General Hospital: Night Shift” begins Tuesday, July 22nd at 11PM EST on SOAPnet.
