‘Days of our Lives’ Fires Kristen Renton; More Pink Slips to Come?

Given the recent the creative changes at Days of Our Lives, it’s no surprise that some of the cast might be on the chopping block. The first casualty just happens to be our favorite sorority girl Morgan (Kristen Renton).

Rumor has it the beautiful blond wasn’t the only one pink slipped. According to Soap Opera Digest, there are whispers of another another actress’ departure and a vet on the verge of being cut. No final air date has been announced, but we do know the character of Mogan will be moving to Chicago.

Renton joined DAYS in 2007, quickly becoming a stand out in the sorority storyline with Rachel Melvin (Chelsea Brady). At the conclusion of that story, she found herself working with Linden Ashby (Paul) and Jay Kenneth Johnson (Phillip Kiriakis). The character of Morgan developed a nice fan following, especially after the show paired her with Phillip.

Renton has been seen on The O.C., CSI, NY, and The Andy Dick Show. She has also appeared in many various commercials and recently was featured in Maxim magazine. Stay tuned to TVS for more casting news.
