“Stomp The Yard” With Tika Sumpter This Fall

Trailer for the upcoming film “Stomp The Yard: Homecoming” featuring OLTL star Tika Sumpter (Layla).

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming ‘Stomp The Yard: Homecoming’ film, featuring One Life to Live’s Tika Sumpter (Layla). In the film, Sumpter plays the role of Nikki, girlfriend to the main character Chance Harris (played by Collins Pennie).

The official synopsis for the film reads: “Chance Harris looks to find a balance between his school, work, relationships and opportunity to perform at the nationally televised step competition during homecoming weekend at Truth University.”

The direct-to-DVD release also stars Columbus Short (“Stomp The Yard,” “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip), Pooch Hall (“The Game”), Kiely Williams (3LW, “The Cheetah Girls”), Keith David (“Crash,” “Barbershop,” “ATL,” “Death at a Funeral”), Terrence Jenkins (“106 & Park”), tWitch (“So You Think You Can Dance”) and many more.

“Stomp the Yard: Homecoming” is written by Albert Leon and Meena Payne. Rob Payne, who served as executive producer for the original “Stomp The Yard” directed the film.

Look for film on DVD & Blue-Ray on October 12, 2010.
