Below you’ll find a round up of recent news and some teasers for The Bold and the Beautiful & The Young and the Restless.
B&B News:
Patrick Duffy (Stephen, B&B) addressed the lack of airtime for his character in a recent issue of CBS Soaps In Depth. “Having come from nighttime soaps, I know how storylines ebb and flow, so I’m perfectly comfortable coming in for a wedding every once in a while or spending a couple of weeks if need be.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, ex-Brady Bunch‘er Christopher Knight will guest star as Dr. Andrews, a pediatrician that will be involved with Bridget (Ashley Jones) and Owen’s (Brandon Beemer) baby. Knight will air September 15.
Next week on B&B: Someone’s out to learn the truth about another’s mysterious past. A former married couple takes a trip down memory lane.
Y&R News:
As previously reported by TVSource Magazine, the new Noah Newman (played by Gossip Girl’s Luke Kleintank) will begin airing on September 21st. The role was previously played by Kevin Schmidt. You can catch Schmidt on Unnatural History on the Cartoon Network.
Also as previously reported, Emmy winner Maura West (Carly, ATWT) will begin airing as the new Diane Jenkins on October 8, three weeks after As the World Turns signs off the air.
Nicholas (Josh Morrow) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) will share a steamy kiss. Of course, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) will be there to witness it all. Maybe we will get to see some flashbacks of the old Phyllis and her hatred for Christine! Bell’s visit has been extended according to CBS Soaps In Depth.
Billy and Victoria will face another hurdle, but look for the couple to get married on September 8th! Look for Elinor Donahue (Father Knows Best) and Susan Olsen (The Brady Bunch) to make guest appearances on the soap. Donahue will play an Judge Anderson at Billy & Victoria’s wedding. Meanwhile Olsen (aka Cindy Brady) will appear on the September 1 episode as Liza Morton, a pre-school owner.
It looks like Beth Maitland (Traci) will be sticking around for a while. Lily will make her an offer after the same offer is rejected by Mac.
Chloe figures out the truth about Ronan’s identity after putting together a few pieces of the puzzle. Now that Chloe knows who Ronan is, will she keep the secret? What will Paul do when he learns the name of Nina’s son — Aiden Lansing?
Emmy winner Eden Riegel (Heather) will guest star on ABC’s Castle this season. Riegel will play Rachel Goldstein, the sister of a man killed by an antique pistol according to TV Guide. Riegel is set to appear in the fourth episode of the season.
Thom Bierdz is returning as Phillip Chancellor on August 26. I think we can expect some scenes with Christine, Nina, and Chance!
