Brittany Underwood is out as ‘One Life to Live’s’ Langston.
Brittany Underwood Will Exit This Spring
Brittany Underwood (Langston) has been let go from One Life to Live. According to reports, the reason for Underwood’s exit is “storyline dictated.” The actress will last air in the spring.
The 22-year old New Jersey native made her daytime debut in 2006 as Langston Wilde, the rebellious and loyal friend of Starr Manning (Kristen Alderson). Langston was adopted by Starr’s aunt Dorian (Robin Strasser) upon learning the girl was orphaned and living alone. Dorian welcomed Langston into the Cramer family with open arms, and she quickly settled in as one of the “Cramer Girls.” It wasn’t long before Langston began a relationship with high school sweetheart Markko (Jason Tam). Unfortunately their relationship was a rocky one and ended after Langston’s affair with resident Llanview hottie Robert Ford (David A. Gregory).
Underwood thanked her fans for their support on Twitter. “You guys are the best, really and truly, thank you for all of the support through the years; it has really meant a lot to me. Thank you all so much for your kind words, I will miss you guys more than you know, it has truly been a pleasure :) Much love to u all! <3.”
Editor’s POV: I am beginning to despise the phrase “storyline dictated exit.” Sad to see Brittany go, but she’s a very capable actress and will hopefully find a new gig soon. Hmm…wouldn’t she make a good Stephanie recast on Days of Our Lives?
