Getting fired from All My Children and the ill-fated CW reboot Melrose Place hasn’t held back Colin Egglesfield (ex-Josh, AMC)! The 38 year-old former model from Farmington Hills, Michigan stars alongside some of Hollywood’s most beautiful women in the romantic-comedy Something Borrowed, out May 6.

In it, Egglesfield plays Dex, a man at the center of a love triangle with friend Rachel (played by Ginnifer Goodwin) and his fiancee Darcy (Kate Hudson). Rachel’s had a crush on Dex since law school, and had a drunken one-night stand with him on her 30th birthday. Things are very complicated after that…the complication being that Dex is the fiancee of her best friend Rachel! John Krasinski also stars…

Something Borrowed is based on the novel of the same name written by Emily Griffin. Luke Greenfield directs the film, written by Jennie Snyder Urman. Oscar winner Hilary Swank is a producer for the film.

SOAP WATCH: Look for an appearance by former As the World Turns star Peyton List (Lucy) as a Young Darcy.
