Michael Muhney Inks Multi-Year Renewal With 'Y&R'

Looks like the dastardly but delicious Adam Newman will continue to cause problems for dear old dad Victor. Soaps in Depth is reporting that Michael Muhney has inked a new, multi-year extension with The Young and the Restless.

Muhney first drew TV viewers attention with regular roles on Turks and Huntress, but his most recognizable role prior to Y&R was as Sheriff Don Lamb in UPN’s Veronica Mars. Mr. Muhney has also appeared in such films as Columbus Day and Act Your Age, which he also co-wrote and produced.

Muhney took over the role of the Victor’s wayward son in mid-2009 after Chris Engen vacated the role. Given all the recent gloomy daytime news, this development is a welcome change of pace. Muhney’s given Adam a complexity that is a treat to watch; so here’s to many more years of Adam-created mayhem.
