Days of Our Lives cuts Francisco San Martin (Dario) from the cast; Is Mark Hapka bringing Nathan Horton back to Salem?

You can add one more to the list of soon to be departing actors from Days of Our Lives. Newcomer Francisco San Martin, who joined DAYS earlier this year as Dario Hernandez, announced on Twitter he has been let go.

“I wanted you guys to hear it from me first; DOOL has decided to bring back some of the older characters and I’ll be one of the casualties,” the actor tweeted. “I couldn’t be more honored to have been a part of an amazing team, both cast and crew who are both incredibility diligent and talented.” The young actor thanks the fans for their support and confirms he’ll remain on the show until next month. You guys are in great hands, hopefully the changes DOOL is making will get you guys even more into the show!”

San Martin joins the likes of Crystal Chappell (Carly) & Louise Sorel (Vivian),and Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Tamara Braun (Taylor) & Bren Foster (Quinn) — all who have been axed as a result of executive producer Ken Corday’s decision to “reset” the show.

In other news, rumor has it Nathan Horton could be making a return to Salem! Soaps.com is reporting that Mark Hapka, who was fired from Days of Our Lives in January, will be returning in the near future. According to their report, Hapka’s character Nathan will return to Salem a “stronger person, persistent to get Melanie away from Dario.”
