Matt Bomer to guest star on 'The New Normal'

0

NBC’s good fortune continues. Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter today that “White Collar” star Matt Bomer would be appearing on “The New Normal” as an ex-boyfriend of Bryan’s (Andrew Rannells).

“Guess who’s coming on The New Normal as Bryan’s sexy ex-boyfriend? The one and only Matt Bomer!!!” Murphy tweeted.

No other character details are available at this time, nor do we have an airdate for the episode. We do, however, have to ask, who on earth would dump Matt Bomer and why? Of course it’s possible Matt’s character was the one who broke things off, but still. Who would let him go?!?! Either way, we’ll be watching.

This is not the first time Bomer has appeared on one of Murphy’s shows. Last season, he turned up on “Glee” as Cooper Anderson, Blaine’s older brother and he sang not one, but two songs with Darren Criss. Since “White Collar” wrapped filming for its fourth season in September, is it too much to hope that Bomer and Murphy could work something out for another appearance in Lima? Or he could just burst into song on “The New Normal.” We’re happy either way since we won’t have to wait until January to have Bomer back in our living rooms.

“The New Normal” airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
