'Hart of Dixie' Mini-Recap & Photo Preview: "Sparks Fly"

Before we jump into what’s coming up this week on “Hart of Dixie,” let’s take a quick look back at the highlights from last week’s episode since I was too sad to recap it (RIP “Emily Owens, M.D.”). Although to be fair, it wasn’t just due to my state of mourning. Last week’s episode was just…there.

Nothing really interesting happened in “Achy Breaky Heart.” Zoe and Lemon teamed up to break up Lavon and Ruby, but when they succeeded, they felt bad and fixed things. Wade and George were helping out with a Cub Scout troop (Eagle Scouts? I forget) and Wade once again proved he’s the best at everything when he befriended a camper that didn’t really fit in. Meanwhile, George continued to prove that Season 2 George is pretty fantastic when he admitted that he knew about Zoe and Wade and he tried to assure Wade that he wasn’t a placeholder to Zoe. Oh, and he also wants to date Tansy, which I support so major points for George in this episode.

Zoe, however, lost even more points (she’s going to be in the negative soon). Not only did she freak out at the idea of George finding out about her and Wade, when Wade told her that he already knew and wasn’t upset, the disappointment was written all over her face. What do you want, Zoe? Do you want George to see other women and pine for you while you sex up Wade? Sorry, you don’t get to have it both ways. Poor Wade was pretty much devastated by her reaction and instead of sticking around for some naked time; he made an excuse to leave. Zoe was confused, but will she actually buy a clue?

Despite Zoe’s apprehensions, she decides to bid on Wade’s basket at the upcoming charity picnic auction, but is surprised that she is not the only one interested. Lemon (Jaime King) mistakenly wins Lavon’s (Cress Williams) basket and decides to keep her true feelings for him to herself and instead offers some advice about his relationship with Ruby (guest star Golden Brooks). Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) is interested in dating Tansy (guest star Mircea Monroe) and creates a basket that he hopes she will bid on. Tim Matheson also stars. Laura Bell Bundy guest stars. Norman Buckley directed the episode written by Jamie Gorenberg.”
