‘General Hospital’ Casting News: Rick Springfield Returning, Real-Life Son Joins Cast

With General Hospital approaching its 50th anniversary, the soap will have another blast from the past to add to its list of stars returning for the historic milestone. People Magazine reports Rick Springfield will reprise his role as Dr. Noah Drake, and he’s bringing his real-life son along with him!

Springfield will return for “several episodes” in April reports people. The actor last made an appearance on the show in March 2012, shortly after the death of Noah’s daughter-in-law Robin.

The actor’s son, Liam Springthorpe, is set to debut as a yet-to-be-named undercover cop. The actors are unsure if they’ll share any scenes.
