Viewers who turned in for last night’s episode of The Vampire Diaries had a chance to get the first look at the upcoming crossover that will bring Tyler (Michael Trevino) to The Originals.
The 11-second clip from “Bloodletting” shows Tyler attempting to make good on his threat to hunt down Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and ruin his life, the way the Original hybrid destroyed Tyler’s. But in this trip anything more than a suicide mission?
Fans who have followed the Original family’s journey from Mystic Falls before the spinoff was created know that Tyler can’t kill Klaus because killing an Original results in every vampire in that bloodline dying as well. While Tyler might be willing to sacrifice himself, we know better than to think he’ll let all his friends die too just to prove a point.
So what’s to stop Klaus from immediately killing Tyler? That’s what we’d like to know. We’re guessing that the writers didn’t send Tyler to a different show just to get slaughtered so he must have some kind of leverage that he can use in his war with Klaus.
Maybe he knows something about Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) long-lost family. Or maybe he’s plotting to work with someone else in NOLA against Klaus. He’s already racked up his fair share of enemies. Feel free to hit the comments and share your thoughts and theories with us!
The Originals airs Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 8/7c on The CW.
