General Hospital Ratings: Ranks #1 in W18-49; Has Most Watched Episode in 6 Years

General Hospital continued its ratings growth with a strong showing at number one in the key Women 18-49 demo for the week of Jan. 6-10, 2014. That isn’t all! The long-running ABC soap also had its most watched episode in six years, drawing nearly 4 million viewers!

With four week highs, General Hospital ranked as the week’s #1 program in daytime among Women 18-34 (254,000/0.8 rating – tied on rating) and was the #2 program in Women 18-49 (776,000/1.2 rating) and Women 25-54 (1.05 million/1.7 rating).

Tuesday’s Jan. 7 telecast ranked as the series’ most-watched telecast in over 6 years in Total Viewers (3.55 million – since 11/12/07).

The episode (#12966), featured dangerous mental patient Heather (Robin Mattson) was back in Port Charles gathering information for her master plan to bring harm to an unaware Carly (Laura Wright). Franco (Roger Howarth) threatened Ava (Maura West) to stay away from Carly but Ava, bully that she is, issued a few threats of her own. Nathan (Ryan Paevey) bombarded Sam (Kelly Monaco) with lots of questions the nature of her relationship with Silas (Michael Easton) before dropping a bombshell about her lover’s dark past. Meanwhile, armed with the truth about the warehouse shooting incident thanks to Rafe (Jimmy Deshler), Anna (Finola Hughes) confronted TJ (Tequan Richmond) and Shawn (Sean Butler) about what happened.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC, with same-day episodes available on-demand at Hulu.comABC.com and Comcast Xfinity.
