The Days of our Lives casting department continues to tap veteran names to boost its ranks. According to TV Guide’s Michael Logan, former One Life to Live star Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) is now the newest addition to the long-running NBC serial.
“Done deal? I’m hearing it’s OFFICIAL! @KassieDePaiva @nbcdays @DaysofourLives #DOOL #Days #daysofourlives,” wrote Logan on Twitter.
Speculation over a potential new soap gig for DePaiva began a few weeks ago when she published a new blog on her website, indicating she had big news to announce. The rumor mill intensified when she began following Twitter accounts associated with the show. Certainly that’s no concrete evidence, but it did raise eyebrows from fans and industry insiders.
No stranger to daytime, DePaiva first made waves on CBS’ Guiding Light as Chelsea Reardon from 1986-1991. In 1993, she landed her most well-known role as the feisty Blair Cramer on ABC’s One Life to Live. For 20 years, she schemed, seduced, slapped and romanced her way into hearts of fans. After OLTL’s cancellation in 2011, she resurrected her character as a guest star on General Hospital. In 2013, DePaiva starred in Prospect Park’s reboot of One Life to Live.
